You were so happy tonight during your bath time. You kept looking at me and smiling really big! Once you were into playing with your toys you were intrenched! You focus on themso had. And for some reason, I'm not sure why, you love to throw your toys outside of your tub, and into the big tub, or even outside of the big tub. Then you bring them all back in, and do it again. Your art of throwing is getting very good. A few times in the tub you went from a squating position to a standing position without using your hands. It was amazing. Your legs are so strong. Once you are standing you'll still reach for something to hold onto.
You love it when Daddy gets home. You get so excited and you crawl as fast as you can to him. Dad always likes to challenge you. I think he wants you to grow up too fast! But he puts you on your feet and tries to get you to stand. And tonight while holding onto some toys you stood for about 10 seconds! You've done this before, but the difference was tonight you actually knew what was happening. And without getting scared you stood there, then very slowly sat back down.
I just got done putting you to bed. Some nights you fall asleep easily and sometimes you don't. Tonight was the latter. You were so tired, but you try to pretend that you are not. You wanted to play patty cake again! But I started to sing "I love to see the Temple" and "Teach Me to Walk in the Light", and you recognized it right away and put your head down to rest. You still cry sometimes when I put you in your crib. It breaks my heart, but sometimes that's what you have to do to go to sleep.
You are growing up so fast. You are turning into this little boy. But know matter how big you are getting, or all the things that you can do now, it is never fast enough in your mind. You get rather frustrated with me when I won't let you have or do something that is too big for you. That is something that I have always known about you. You are an old spirit, stuck in a baby's body. I know you want to grow up so you can do and eat all the things that grown ups do, but don't grow up too fast!
