Sprinklers and All.....

Let the fun begin! You didn't know what to think about the sprinkler. Dad had to carry you through a few times, and eventually you got brave enough to try yourself. But you didn't like it so you only tried it once. 

This is Dad trying to show you how to how it's done.

But you still wouldn't do it by yourself so Dad carried you through.

Then you walked to the pool. pointed, and said "Sit Dad" It was really cold. And then when the sprinkler came, it was even colder!

You finally did it!

Grandma Laura got you this swim suit outfit for your birthday. 

Dad wanted to keep that hat on his head, because the sun was so bright, but you liked playing the game of taking it off and putting it back on. You usually get you way!

Coloring

Our cousin Jay actually got you these coloring pages for you on at Christmas. I've had them up in your closet until you were a little older, and wanted to color. And since Nana got you the Toy Story movies for your birthday you have been hooked. This was a lot of fun. A big mess, but that's okay. I like coloring too, so it is a fun activity we can do together.

Growing Up

There really isn't anything special to say about this picture. You are just growing up so much. You look so old to me in these pictures. You're definitely not a little baby any more. I think you are watching Toy Story in this picture. You are very still and focused, which isn't usually the case unless you are watching something.

Backyard Fun

We have been having so much fun having our own back yard, and we are finally starting to get some warm/hot summer weather. We got you a kiddie pool, and Daddy got the hose. Here are some pictures from our 1st fun day in the sun in the backyard:

You were making a tidal wave! Kwazi almost went over board!

This was after all the fun! You snuggled up with Dad, and all the Oso stuffed animals, while watching Toy Story. I love the look on your face! It says, "Dad, you just got owned!"

Parks and Slides

We have a little park that is in walking distance from our home. We don't go there very often, but today seemed like a good day for a walk. You love holding the dog leashes, and you do a good job. It gets a little hectic sometimes when they get tangled up, or you decide you want to go in a different direction than they do. But for the most part it works fine. Since the weather wasn't too warm, the slides weren't hot, so you and Dad went down a few times. You two have a great time playing together.

Sunny Day at the Park!

We finally are getting some warm weather! I even got to dress you in shorts and a t-shirt! Today we went to Storytime at the Library and then to the Park! You loved it! I didn't take a lot of pictures because I was busy helping Auntie with Launa and Harmony.

But I did get a few!

You and Launa could have stay on the swings all day! But we had to let other kids take a turn! Thankfully neither one of you threw a fit when I took you off.

This is the look of a very worn out kiddo! You stared off into space the whole way home.

Playing in the sink!

Yes you put yourself in the sink. You're always up for a challenge! You remembered that you had left your toys, the crocodile and Mr. Smee, in the sink. So I put you up on the counter to brush your teeth and you climbed in with them!

Smarty Pants

You are so hilarious! You make me laugh so much! This is what you did tonight:

Every night we sing "I love to see the temple" to you and you have started to sing along with me and have gotten good at picking out a few words here and there while I sing. One of them is "obey" so tonight I asked you "we obey Heavenly Father when he tells us to do something, huh?" And you yelled "YEAH". And then I said "just like you obey Mommy and Daddy when we tell you to do something?"..... Long pause..... "Ummm..... Sure". How you know, I have no idea! 

Big Shoes to Fill!

Daddy taught you how to put his boots on! You thought it was pretty fun! You actually could walk around with them on! It took some practice, but you  figured it out! You are so adorable!

You Are Special

Today we read a new book called "You Are Special". This was a good book that was given to me when I was about 17 in the Young Woman program. It is such a sweet book. And you actually let me read it all the way through with our trying to stop. It's nice to sit still with you!

Play time

You had a moment today after your nap where I thought you might be getting sick. You felt warn to the touch and your tummy was bothering you. But we put some oils on you and let you sit with your bears then you began to feel much better.

Good Mornings

Your Momma is really not a morning person. Never has been. But lately you've made it so easy to wake up because you are so happy!

You've been so quite in the morning it's hard for us to tell when your awake. Daddy had been leaving before getting to see you because we thought you were still sleeping. But not even a minute after he'd leave, I'd hear you making noise. So we decided that he was going to go in and get you before he left weather we thought you were awake or not. (Because he leaves at 7:30, and you never sleep past then anyways.

Now you know in the morning when the door opens that it is your Dad. You say "DADDY". And you always grab Bhati (your monkey that you sleep with) and you are so happy.

This morning was especially adorable. We've been working getting you to say "I Love You". You say it now, but usually need to be told when to say it. Not this morning. You were walking around saying "Bye Dad, I wuv ouu!"

And you also didn't need any help/encouragement to wave bye-bye, and blow kisses. You waved and said BYE until Dad drove away and was out of sight.

We all wish Dad didn't have to be gone all day, everyday. But that's the way it is right now. And at least you know the routine, so it's not hard for you when he leaves.

You brightened my day this morning. I love my job, getting to stay home and watch you grow, and I get to see all the amazing things you do everyday!

In Loving Memory of Great Grandma Hamblin

A very special woman went back to heaven today.  Your Great Grandma Gwen Yvonne Hamblin died. We like to call her Little Gram. I know you probably won't remember her since you are still so young, but I want you to know that you had a Great Grandma that loved you very much. We didn't get to see her very often because she lived in Portland, Oregon. You did get to see her a few times. Here are some pictures of you with her.

Toddlers and Stairs

Today we went to Starlynn's dance class. You and Launa love going up and down the stairs. You go down facing forward, and she goes down on her tummy. She almost kicked you and stepped on your foot once, but you were having fun!
