Eya-ya! Original post Date 6/21/12

Gabriel, you are growing so fast. I just wanted to take a moment to write down some of your new "things".

We have 2 dogs Sidda and Chica.  You have started to try and call them.  You say Eya-ya, for Sidda.  When ever we walk outside you say Eya-ya, because there are times when I have to go outside and call for them to come back in the house.  If I say "where's Sidda", you look around the house until you find her.  When we come home Sidda is usually up on the lovesac looking out the window and the first thing you say when we get home is "Eya-ya" and I'll put you down on the floor and you go straight for the dogs.  Since we have ackowledge that you are trying to say "Sidda" you now call Chica "Eya-ya" too.  Even Grandma Laura's dog Ellie is "Eya-ya".

When I take you onto your changing table to change you, you usually have something in your hands.  But not for long. You throw up your arm and toss it in the air. This is when I usually say "toss". You have started to copy me by saying "oss". You think that it is a very fun game! I think that it is adorable the way you say "oss". You do kinda drive me a little crazy though, because you will "oss" anything... anywhere.  Your food, your bottle, the toys in the car.... pretty much anything. But I guess this is a typical baby game!

You go to sleep around 7 each night. And your Dad and I usually stay up until 9:30 or 10:00.  We will talk about you and how cute you are! You just make us laugh all the time! We have started doing some of your things, like when you lean forward to get in our line of sight because you want our attention; your Dad did this to me while we were sitting on the couch watching TV.

You love your Dad.  The two of you have so much fun together.  When he gets home from work you can usually hear him whistling before he makes it through the door, and your face just lights up with excitement! You join the dogs at the door ready to greet him! The two of you play drums together, watch sports together, he throws you in the air onto the lovesac and you just giggle, you chase eachother... the list goes on and on!

You have a very determined personality! You know what you want, when you want it, and you won't stop until you get it! You are also very smart! I can your wheels turning when you are playing.  You have this new car that you got from Great Grama and Grandpa Hamblin for your birthday. You push it all around the house and put it places, inside boxes (since we are packing), up and over the barstool legs, and even in the dogs water! You love cups and rings.  You will grab a pen, or something straight, and put it inside the cup or the ring, take it out and do it again.  You stay entertained for a while doing this.  There are times when you are very good at playing by yourself, and you are very quite when you do because you are thinking so hard.  But there are other times when you demand attention from me or your Dad.  But most of the time we are happy to play with you! You are so joyful!

We are so happy to have you in our family! You are the most adorable baby ever!

After Daddy figured out the new carseat we put you in to see if you fit! You thought it was pretty cool! Thank you Grandma Sue, Grandpa Charlie, Papa Wade, and Grandma Laura!

You are getting so BIG! We have been practicing walking.  You used to want to just crawl everywhere because you knew you could get around faster.  But now you want to practice all the time. You grab on of my hands, reach around til you find the other one and then take of! You steer around, go outside and go up the patio steps, and back down! You love walking right now, I just wish you'd try to do it by yourself. But as soon as we try to let go, you fall to the ground! Oh well! You'll do it when your ready!

This was at Red Robin! I love this outfit you are wearing. "Rebel Rock Legend" You look so grown up!

When we go on walks you have to hold the leashes! You won't stop crying until I give them to you, then you are perfectly content!

You now enjoy the swings! The motion use to scare you, but you had a blast this time!

Mr. Cool wearing sunglasses!
