Halloween 2012

We went to a church Trunk or Treat. You were dressed up as a dragon. Starlynn was a fairy, Launa was a dog and Harmony was a Lady Bug.

You could care less about the food, games, and candy. You just loved walking around looking at all the "strange" kids.  You were especially taken aback by a boy who's face was painted like a Zombie. He was much bigger and faster than you, but you tried as hard as you could to catch up to him, all the while trying to look at his face. It was almost as if you wanted to say, "hey dude, did you know that there's something wrong with your face?" It was hilarious.

In and

Out!
Hmmm.... I don't think I've ever seen this before!

You found Jesus!
Trying to get everyone happy and looking at the camera at the same time was sure a challenge!
Close enough!

Since you love to play with the iPhones so much you finally found the camera app. You took about 30 pictures of yourself just like this one:

Carving Pumpkins

Papa Darrin, Nana, and Uncle Hunter were all with us when we carved our pumpkins. Here are some pics of the day:
It is very serious work, ya know!
You are a Momma's boy. You liked to sit on my lap and help me.

You also enjoyed sitting on Papa Darrin's lap, while reading your Mickey Mouse books. I think that is the longest I've ever seen Papa Darrin sit so still.
Say Cheese!

This is Mom's pumpkin that you helped with.  First we had to poke the hole of the image, and then cut it out piece by piece. It was tricky!

Nana and Hunter after a long afternoon of carving pumpkins

This is all the pumkins carved and lit. I think we all did a great job!

Nana's pumpkin on the left, our pumpkin on the right! Go Hawks!

This is Dad's pumpkin.  We don't really know what it is supposed to be, but it sure is spooky! Dad is great at coming up with his own crazy ideas! Halloween is his favorite holiday.

Once they are done, they go out to the porch to light the way for the Trick-or-Treaters on Halloween.

Hamblin Family Pictures... in the leaves!

It is a rare occasion when we get everyone together. Well and I guess technically not every one was here, we're still missing Andrew.  But the majority of everyone was together, so of course we had to take pictures.

The Big boys: Brandon (Dad), Uncle Gavin, Uncle Hunter, and (Uncle) Josh Wheeler, he's kind of been adopted into our family.

And lets throw Mom in there!

Seeing Grandma Cook

You have only met Grandma Cook once before in August, but I didn't get a picture. Tonight we went to Aunt Diana and Uncle Dave's 50th Anniversary. I made sure this time to get a picture with Grandma Cook.

Goofin' around

Mommy had to go to an essential oil meeting tonight and you stayed home with Dad. This is the picture I got in a text from him.

Reading by yourself

Everything comes in strides. Today you actually sat down with your Mickey books to read them. You were so still and quiet, I didn't want to disturb you.

Leaves. Leaves and More Leaves

We have a big beautiful Maple Tree in our front yard. But in the Fall that only means 1 things.... LEAVES. We have so many leaves there blowing all over the neighborhood.  So we really need to get out there and clean it up before people started complaining.  We took pictures of the 1st time doing this, but it took about 3 more times before everything was done shedding!

Rake. Rake. Rake.

Rake. Rake. Rake.... And jump in the leaves

More raking....

And more raking....

Breaking before more raking....

Then we took the leaves we had raked into piles and put them in Jack-o-Lantern bags for Halloween decorations.

You liked to help with this project.

And what didn't fit into the bags we had to throw away.

Dad was a little to violent when putting the bag in it's place, so it popped.

He was in trouble with Nana...

But we fixed it.

And we are spent! That was a lot of hard work. Thanks for your help!
