You have been fighting off a earache for a few days now. I thought it was getting better, but I guess it's not. I was actually able to get you down for a nap this morning, you slept for about an hour. when you woke up you still wanted to go to music class, I just think you should go but we went anyways. Then I had to take Camden to his 2 month checkup so I took you to Papa Wade's house. You are not happy about it and went kicking and screaming but I was late and had to hurry. You did good with Papa Wade while I was gone. On my way home you had fallen asleep in his arms. He's so lucky because you don't do that with anybody anymore. Especially since it was the second nap of the day. Auntie and the girls came over and you got to play for a little bit, but you needed to get some sleep so we put you to bed early hoping that your ear ache will be better in the morning.

"Dude!"
We were driving home from the grocery store today, and the sun was out. You put on your sunglasses and kept trying to get my attention. So I turned around and said "nice sunglasses Dude!" you said to me, "I'm not Dude! Don't call me Dude! You call me Gabriel!" I said "okay!" Then you continued, "Daddy can call me Dude. Not you!"
This made me laugh! You are so cute and so smart.

A Trip to Children's Clinic
Today we went to the Children's Clinic in Bellevue. I wasn't sure what they were going to say about your hand. Turns out that you crushed the bone! Sounds a lot worse than it is because your bones are still very soft and the bones in your hand haven't even developed yet. Its still mostly cartilage in your hand. The doctor described your finger as like a mozzarella stick that got smashed. Thankfully you are young and heal quickly. It'll be about 3 more weeks before we come back and you'll be fully healed.
Dr. Cheryl asked me if you're ok with load noises. I told her no. So instead of a hard cast, were you could have picked out a color, you got a soft cast. Its actually still pretty hard, but instead of sawing it off with a loud saw, they can just peal it off.
Here are some pictures of you at the hospital.

broken hand
Today you went to your friend Bentley's birthday party. We went to his house first for pizza and presents. Then his mom, Kjaersti, drive you with them to the bowling alley. I stayed home with Camden. You had so much fun!
Then I got the phone call. You dropped a bowling ball on your hand. At first we didn't think that it was broken, but I knew we needed to get it checked just in case. And sure enough you had a couple cracks in the bone between your 1st and 2nd knuckle. Daddy said you were a trooper and did so good when getting your hand xrayed. It now has a splint on it.
