16 months old

Today you are 16 months old. Time is flying so fast! You are so much fun these days! Here are some of the things that you do:

• You are very independent. Most babies at your age still have the umbilical cord syndrome, but you don't you have no problem going off on your own

• You are a very typical boy! You are constantly on the move! And getting into things!

9/11/12 This was your first big fall.  You went out the front door before Mommy and tried to go down the stairs like a big kid, and you fell right on your face!



This is at the Southcenter mall kid center.  You were climbing up and down, and going in and out of everything you could! You are very good around other kids, even strangers. You usually try to keep to yourself and just do your own thing, but the other kids don't bother you. 9/20/12

9/14/12 Climbing into a box just because you can while playing with your cousins

• You make a strange noise in the back of your throat when you try to talk. We call you Chet when you do it. Chet is from Santa Claus 2. He is a reindeer that sounds just like you do when he trys to talk.
• You have started twisting your wrists again when you want something.
• You try to say teeth and sit, but it sounds more like "T-heh" and "S-heh"
• You sign: more, all done, please, baby, shoes, and socks

You wanted more chocolate shake, but Daddy wouldn't give you any unless you signed "more"

• You love to play catch with Chica
• Outside we have a fire pit, and you love to go outside and pull out all the rocks, just like you love to pull out the tupperware, and the pots and pans

• You are thinking about running, but everytime you get going pretty fast you fall down
• You love to go horseback riding

When we can't make it to the barn, you still like to ride the rocking horse 9/10/12

Even if you are in the worst of moods, when we go to the barn and put you on a horse, you are extremely happy!

• You love balls. I think you are going to be a big sports guy. If you see people playing with a ball, you will watch them until you eventually try to join them.

• You absolutely love your little cousin Harmony. She is only 3 months old, but you love to hug her and kiss her.

• You give kisses now! Both real kisses and you blow kisses when you are waving bye-bye to someone

• You make everyone smile when you say "HI". It is so sweet people can't help but smile.
• You love bath time. We play peek-a-boo, both with a wash cloth and the shower curtain. And you have learned how to squeeze the wash cloth

• You still have a sock fetish

9/11/12 Grandma Laura showed you how to put socks on your hands! Now you love to do it all the time!

• One of your favorite books is "Goodnight Moon" Most books you are done with after the 1st page, but not this one. You will sit down, and turn the pages while I read it to you! We sometimes read it a few times
• Oh and I can't forget! You are a Techy Kid! You LOVE LOVE LOVE the iPhone and iPad! And you are amazingly good at working them already! You have your own baby apps that you can find, and sometimes you will get to the phone app (even though I have hidden it) and call people!

9/14/12 You wanted to get the iPad from Starlynn so bad! You got yourself on the ottoman and rocked back and forth! You have amazing balance!

9/26/12 You are such a good eater! You love food! And you have a sweet tooth, so I need to be careful with you!

9/7/12 At least once a day you ask to look at this picture frame. I can ask you "where is Papa" and you point right to Papa Wade! You have only met him once when you were 2 months old, but you know who he is!
